Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council (SFC) - english information
Scotland; United Kingdom
"The Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council (SFC) is the body that distributes funding for teaching and learning, research and other activities in Scotland's colleges and universities. There are 43 colleges and 20 higher education institutions in Scotland funded by SFC. The SFC also provides colleges with bursary, hardship and childcare funding for their non-advanced learners. The SFC was established formally on 3 October 2005 under the terms of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005. The Council replaces the former Scottish Further Education Funding Council and the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council and now brings together funding and support for Scotland's colleges and universities under one body."
