The event dealt with the question of how learning analytics can be used in higher education and with the effects of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (introduced on May 25th, 2018) on teaching in Austria. There were two presentations on the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation at universities in Austria and the EU project "Successful Transition from secondary to higher Education using Learning Analytics". Five topics were then further discussed in round tables: learning management systems, video, assessment, open educational resources as well as social bots and artificial intelligence.
