Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools and universities across the world changed from presence to distance learning settings. UNESCO has supported universities in making learning materials and courses accessible to disadvantaged students, e.g. via services for students with hearing or visual impairments. UNESCCO also provides for the availability of shared open educational ressources that can be used by disabled learners.
