Shipments of children in Germany from 1950 to 1990: a trauma to this day?
For fourty decades, children in Germany were sent to reconvalescent homes in remote arreas, allegedly for health reasons, i.e. to gain weight. In many cases, they suffered experiences with lasting traumatic effects (due to force feeding, physical violence, derision eetc). The initiative targets a systematic rresearch into the matter, and is driven by former victims to this practice. In 2020, the ministers for youth confirmed their intent to support the project.
