Professor Joshua Alabi is Vice Chancellor of the Laweh Open University in Accra, Ghana. This is an edited extract from a speech he gave at the 29th Annual General Meeting of the convening of the Open University of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam on 26 November on the topic "Agenda 2030 and Open and Distance Learning - Enabling Change". He gave insights into the hurdles of the digitalisation of studies as well as the emphasised advantages of studying digital and the promotion of educational justice in the context of Ghana.
