The goal of the EASE project is to reinforce educational continuity at the interface between early childhood services and primary school by supporting children and their parents in this transitional process. It promotes active cooperation between parents, children, educators and primary school teachers. On the basis of the didactic concepts of the EC sector and primary school, common education concepts are to be developed in order to initiate effective co-operation at both educational levels. Educational transition courses and teaching materials for co-operative teaching for students, educators and primary school teachers are to be conceived and tested. This should promote an exchange of views of all involved in the educational process and document the individual pathways of each child at the beginning of lifelong learning. The focus is to be on Early Literacy. The projects outcome, is to develop concepts and teaching materials as well as truly practical examples to be made available to those interested. The participating countries are Austria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Island, Poland and Sweden.
