The European Commission presents a site with information on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), which represents a reference system for employees and employers across Europe. Instead of comparing learning input, outcomes are accredited in terms of achieved competencies and qualifications. The concept relates to all levels of education (from school to vocational and higher education and lifelong learning), and integrates non-formal and informal learning outcomes.
