New report on "Global Status of Teachers 2024"

On 24 January 2025, the International Day of Education, Education International presented its latest report ‘The Global Status of Teachers 2024’. The report looks at the status of teachers and the teaching profession from the perspective of education trade unions worldwide. It is based on a previous survey of Education International (EI) member organisations from all regions of the world. The report has been published every 3 years since 2015. Education International is an umbrella organisation of around four hundred education trade unions from 170 countries.
