War in the Ukraine 2022 and its impact on education and research

On February 24, 2022, Ukraine was invaded by Russian troops and since then many people have fled to western countries. As a consequence, science organisations and the education system in Germany have launched special programmes for researchers and students from Ukraine as well as putting cooperations with the Russian Federation on hold.
