The Brandenburg regional association of the Verband Deutscher Schullandheime e.V. (Association of German School Camps) brings together school camps based in Brandenburg. In addition to class trips and school trips, the children's and youth accommodations can also host vacation camps, international exchanges, family camps, hiking days, school in the countryside, daycare trips, project days, project weeks, training camps, club trips, training courses, seminars, preparation times, e.g. for sports clubs, church groups, orchestras, choirs and fanfare bands. Most of the houses are open all year round. They are mostly idyllically situated near lakes and forests. There are often package deals for whole weeks and weekends, sometimes with a program for the whole stay.
