Das Institut für Deutsche Sprache, Literatur und ihre Didaktik (IDD) bildet Studierende in den Lehramts-Studiengängen für das Fach Deutsch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen sowie Berufsbildenden Schulen (Fachrichtungen Sozial- und Wirtschaftspädagogik) aus. Die Arbeit des Instituts richtet sich auf eine Weiterentwicklung des Faches Deutsch durch Lehre, Forschung und Wissenstransfer.
