Die Regionalstelle Bautzen nimmt als Teil des Landesamtes für Schule und Bildung Schulaufsichtsaufgaben über die Schulen des Landkreises Bautzen und des Landkreises Görlitz wahr. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt der Regionalstelle Bautzen ist die Sicherung der Schulaufsicht für sorbische Schulen.
