"Anlass der vom BMBF in Auftrag gegebenen Expertise sind Abstimmungs- und Entwicklungserfordernisse der Statistik zur Weiterbildung. Ausgehend von einem Überblick einschlägiger wissenschaftlicher Ansätze und bildungspolitischer Konzepte werden Vorschläge für eine Kategorisierung der Weiterbildung vorgestellt. Auf dieser Grundlage erfolgt ein Screening der einschlägigen Befragungen und Statistiken von Personen, Betrieben, Anbietern und Weiterbildungspersonal, die zusammen die Weiterbildung in Deutschland statistisch abbilden. Unter Berücksichtigung von Erwartungen, die im Rahmen der Bildungsberichterstattung und von Nutzern aus Politik und (Bildungs-)Praxis an die Weiterbildungsstatistik gestellt werden, stellt die Expertise Empfehlungen für den Ausbau einer integrierten Statistik sowie für zentrale Indikatoren vor." "The need for coordinating and improving the statistics on continuing education and training prompted the BMBF (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research) to commission an expert paper. Based on an overview of pertinent scientific approaches and educational policy concepts, proposals for a categorization of continuing education and training are presented. Following this, relevant surveys of and statistics on individuals, companies, providers, and training staff in continuing education and training were analysed. The expert paper presents recommendations for the development of an integrated statistic on continuing education and training and its key indicators, considering the requirements for national and inter-national reporting on education and training as well as the expectations of policy makers and practitioners within this field."
