The English site provides a short introduction to the work of the Foundation and their English language publications. "The Vamlas Foundation is the one of the oldest disability organizations in Finland, founded in 1889 by a teacher, Vera Hjelt. She and her colleagues wanted to promote learning and working opportunities of children and youth with disabilities and the Foundation first consisted of a school and a work shop.
