The Canadian Association of University Teachers is the national voice of university academic staff in Canada. Established in 1951, CAUT is a federation of faculty associations/unions and represents members in every province by: promoting the interests of teachers, professional librarians and researchers in Canadian universities and university colleges, advancing the standards of their profession, seeking to improve the quality of higher education in Canada. The CAUT-web site provides information on the association and its activities, services and policy, government relations and affinity programs.
