Atlases on media pedagogics A number of federal states publish a „media pedagogical atlas“. These atlases contain references to relevant services and providers, an example is the media pedagogical atlas of Lower Saxony, which describes itself as follows: "The atlas offers an overview of institutions, organisations, groups and societies offering media educational activities and provisions in Lower Saxony. It aims at the transparency of services for the development of media competence in Lower Saxony, and intends to make the services accessible to everyone interested. The atlas is a co-operative work of the Niedersächsische Landesmedienanstalt (NLM) and the state of Lower Saxony."
