International Mother Language Day

On February 21, UNESCO commemorates International Mother Language Day to create awareness of endangered languages and the role languages play in citizenship education and in the preservation of cultural heritage. Education in native languages is essential, as well as the acceptance of multilingualism ina globalized world.
