Facing History and Ourselves is a nonprofit educational organization whose mission it is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry. The organization provides school teachers with materials and tools for teaching history, civics, ethics and English. As the name implies, by studying the historical development of the Weimar Republic, the Holocaust, Armenian Genocide, the Genocide in Rwanda and Apartheid students make the essential connection between history and the moral choices they confront in their own lives. Facing History is situated in the USA.
